Resumes
Why pay more for the very same writer?
If you've priced those big online resume-writing services, you already know they charge anywhere from $150 to $500 for a resume and cover letter.
There's a cheaper alternative. You see, those services hire writers like me, and then give us about one-third of the money you've paid. The rest goes into corporate coffers somewhere to pay for executive perks. In the meantime, we continue to write resumes on our own, pursuant to a standard contract. So here's your choice: You can hire me through an expensive corporate service, or you can hire me directly. Since my operating budget doesn't include corporate jets and golden parachutes, I'll be charging you a lot less. The quality is better, too. For one thing, I'm not tied to the company's preconceived – and sometimes ill-advised – notions about what your resume ought to look like. For another, most companies tell their writers to change pretty much everything about your resume even if it's already really, really good. If I'm working independently, I can tell you it's already good and charge you even less to make minor changes. As a subcontractor for some of the largest resume-writing companies in the world, I have written more than 2,000 resumes for attorneys, executives, laborers, musicians, actors, students, and many, many others. Heck, I'm even PARW-certified. And get a load of my prices: Resume and cover letter: $125 ~ CV and cover letter: $175 ~ Federal resume: $125 ~ Federal KSAs: $100 for up to four ~ Light edit or critique: $75 Cheaper. Better. Same great service. What's not to like? R h y s w o r k s
